Joey Valenzuela Director of Religious Education Our mission within the CCD Program is to educate our parish children and young adults using our Catholic Catechism as our guiding force. The goal of our catechist are to serve as tools and resources in the process of passing on the faith, and also to enrich our young adults to "Go and Teach" as we have been called to do. Our Bishop has also written in his recent pastoral letter the importance of teaching and being supportive role models in our youth . Remember that catechesis starts in our homes, and parents and guardians are the primary catechist. So with that, let us "Go and Teach". What is Catechesis? Catechesis is an education in the faith of children, young people and adults which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organic and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life."
