Sunday, May 20th 2007 marked the First Annual Youth Day sponsored by the Our Lady of Perpetual Help's Office of Youth Ministry & Office of Elementary Catechism. The event was attended by approximately 35 children from the CCD program. "The purpose of the event was to show our students our commitment to their religious faith development and the understanding that we can have fun learning the life of Christ", added Joey Valenzuela, Coordinator of Youth Ministry for OLPH. The day included song and prayer, sack races, three legged races, and other popular kids games and dances, and ended with a splash with a soaking water balloon toss. All the kids events were coordinated by Junior Youth Ministers from the Confirmation program. "I think the kids had lots of fun", remarked Ceci Villalobos, Director of Religious Education for OLPH, "everyone did a great job."
